Head of Chambers
Rashad Daureeawo SC is head of RD Chambers. He is a Senior Counsel (silk) of Mauritius with over 50 years experience at the Bar of Mauritius. He has a broad consultancy and litigation practice assisting domestic as well as international clients across the full spectrum of laws. Rashad regularly acts before committees, tribunals and Courts of Mauritius as well as in arbitration cases and also as Legal advisor to several parastatal bodies and local government authorities.
Rashad has contributed greatly to developments in the legal field, in particular having previously held the position of chairman of the Mauritius Bar Council and member of the Mauritius Law Reform Commission. Rashad was the President of the Mauritius United Nations Association and currently is the President of the Middle Temple Association (Mauritius), affiliated to the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in the UK.
